Astonishingly good for the price – by jjbunn
I’ve owned about a dozen espresso machines over the years, ranging from cheapo Krups things (awful) to expensive Gaggia devices with powerful pumps and eye-watering price tags, e.g. the Gaggia “Coffee”. This De Longhi machine beats them all, easily. Using Illy or Starbucks pods, the espresso it makes is rich, dark and covered with a delicious crema. It outperforms the Gaggia considerably – I’d say it’s in a different league. Also, using the pods, there is no mess at all. (I always use filtered water in espresso machines – makes a big difference: there is no metallic taste to the shot.). When it comes to espresso machine, this device is the bargain of the century.

MIx it up with all sorts of flavored creamers! We foam up some of the flavored creamers for the cappicinos. SOOO GOOD! Looks very nice on the counter too!
